Depeche Mode broke a Red Hot Chili Peppers record with Ghosts Again. Both bands have had a single in every decade since the Alternative Airplay Charts came into existence in 1988. The Peppers are the top-grossing band in the category with 15 #1 hits on the Alternative Billboard charts.
Dave Gahan and Martin Gore’s new song ranks 27th as of February 24th. They were last included in the ranking with “Where’s The Revolution” in 2017. Previous charts included Wrong (2009), Enjoy the Silence (1990) and Personal Jesus (1989).
In addition, “Enjoy the Silence” is one of four songs to reach the top position. “Policy Of Truth”, “I Feel You” and “Walking In My Shoes” are all number one songs from 1990 (“Policy Of Truth”) or 1993 (“I Feel You” and “Walking In My Shoes”. Shoes”). Overall made it 21 songs by the band in the “Alternative Airplay Charts”.
Ghosts Again was released on February 9th and serves as a prelude to the album Memento Mori, due out on March 24th. With the tour of the same name, they will also be in Leipzig, Düsseldorf, Munich, Frankfurt and Berlin between May 26th and July 9th. The exact dates and tickets are among other things here.
