In a few hours the time has come: On October 4, 2022, Depeche Mode invites you to a press conference in Berlin. A video shows Dave Gahan and Martin Gore leaving Los Angeles together.
The YouTube page X17 Online released a video taken by paparazzi showing Dave Gahan and Martin Gore – both with black backpacks – together in the LAX airport lobby. It is well known where the journey is going: Berlin – Depeche Mode wants to announce big news there on October 4th. The camera also shows the two musicians during the usual procedures before a flight, including passport control.
The atmosphere between the two remaining members of the synthpop pioneers seems to be great. Gore and Gahan are visibly animated in the video, you can also see them laughing. The fact that the two depart from the same airport is anything but a matter of course: Gahan is known to live in New York City, Gore in Los Angeles.

Depeche Mode: What could happen in Berlin on October 4th
What exactly the band will announce in Berlin remains to be seen — nothing has been officially confirmed so far. Rumor has it that there will be a world tour and a new album (which will be called “Memento Mori”). The music magazine “Clash” recently published an article in which it was said that the band had already announced several tour dates in Berlin – which could possibly indicate a press release published too early (or a fake). The article has now been taken offline again. Depechemode.de reported more rumours: “Memento Mori” was produced by Rick Rubin and contained final works by Fletch.
Fans can follow the live stream of the press conference on October 4, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. on Facebook.
