National swimmer from Denizli, Ahmet Mete Boylu, set the bar high by breaking 3 gold medals, 1 bronze medal and 1 Turkish record at the Multinations Junior Swimming Championship held in Prague. Swimmers competing under the national jersey at the Multinations Junior Swimming Championship, held in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, on 28-29 March, completed the organization with significant successes.
National athlete Ahmet Mete Boylu, who has made his name among the most successful athletes trained by Denizli in recent years, made our country proud and put his name on the top with the degrees he achieved in Prague. The young athlete, who won gold medals in the 200-meter freestyle, 4×200-meter freestyle relay and 4×100-meter freestyle relay races, won the bronze medal in the men’s 400-meter freestyle relay.
TURKISH RECORD FOR AGE 18 WAS BROKEN
In the 4×100 meter freestyle men’s relay race, in which Ahmet Mete Boylu also took part, the national team managed to break the Turkish record at the age of 18 with a time of 3.20.65. At the end of the competitions, Ahmet Mete Boylu came to the podium, received his gold medal and was proud to sing the National Anthem. National Team Coach Musa Özcan from Denizli also took part in the championship in Czech Republic and became one of the names that had a share in the success.
