Deniz Öncü narrowly missed the first place in Italy – Last minute Motor Sports news



National motorcyclist Deniz Öncü missed the first place with a margin of 0.051 seconds and became the second in the 6th leg of the World Moto3 Championship held in Italy, organized by the International Motorcycle Federation (FIM).


Deniz, the athlete of the Red Bull KTM Ajo team, started the sixth race of the season on the International Mugello Track from the pole position.


In the race where there was a big competition, the young athlete missed the first place just 0.051 seconds behind Red Bull KTM Tech3 team driver Daniel Holgado and finished the race in second place.


In the race, Daniel Holgado passed the checkered flag with a time of 33.27.3150, while Ayumu Sasaki of Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP team was placed in third place by just 0.056 seconds behind Deniz.


Red Bull KTM Tech3 team pilot Daniel Holgado is first with 109 points, Honda pilot Jaume Masia is second with 74 points, Ivan Ortola from Angeluss MTA team is third with 68 points, Deniz Öncü is 6th with 53 points.


The next stage of the Moto3 World Championship will be run on June 18 in Germany.
