Demir: “We know from experience that a remediation project such as the one in Zwijndrecht can take five to ten years”

Chemical company 3M will pay a total of 571 million euros to tackle the pollution from its factory in Zwijndrecht. 250 million of that budget will be used, among other things, to remediate the soil in the neighborhoods. “We know from experience that such projects can take five to ten years,” said Flemish Minister for the Environment Zuhal Demir in VTM Nieuws.
