“We need to get rid of the system that almost obliges parents to look for a label – think of ADHD or autism – in order to get help for their child at school.” This is what Minister of Education Zuhal Demir (N-VA) says. From September 2026, she will allow forty schools to experiment with regular and special education under one roof. That is exactly what they already do at the Matadi school in Leuven.
