Former champions EHC Red Bull Munich are finding new hope for an end to their crisis in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL). Coach Max Kaltenhauser’s team celebrated a last-minute 5:4 (1:2, 2:2, 2:0) win in the southern duel against the Augsburger Panthers and moved back up to fourth place.

The EHC recently had a 0:6 defeat at Schwenninger Wild Wings lost and suffered a total of three defeats in the last four games. The home team, on the other hand, is still stuck in the relegation battle.

DeSousa scores with 15 seconds left

Munich’s winning goal was scored by Christopher DeSousa 15 seconds before the end of regular time. The Canadian had already equalized for the guests in the middle third after Augsburg’s 2-0 lead. A total of two leads were not enough for the hosts to secure their second win in a row.
