The Adler Mannheim are currently the measure of all things in the DEL. At the Schwenninger Wild Wings they got a clear win and their fourth shutout in a row.

With a confident performance, the Adler Mannheim consolidated their lead in the standings in the German Ice Hockey League against the Schwenninger Wild Wings. Matthias Plachta (16th), Kristian Reichel (28th), Leon Gawanke (31st), John Gilmour (43rd) and Anthony Greco (57th) scored a confident 5-0 win. It was the fourth shutout in a row for Adler keeper Maximilian Franzreb.

Adler Mannheim again with a good power play

It took the Eagles a while to get into the game. But then Mannheim showed once again why they play the best power play in the league. Sebastian Uvira had to go to the penalty box after being hit with a stick. Mannheim kept the score running and only needed three attacks to score the first goal. Matthias Plachta used his own rebound and took the lead for Mannheim (16th). The spell was broken.

Zachary Senyshyn, the best Schwenninger, pushed for the equalizer with verve. However, he lacked the necessary shot luck in his chances (19th, 22nd & 28th). Since Arkadiusz Dziambor also couldn’t get the puck into the Mannheim goal (28th), it was Kristian Reichel (28th) and Leon Gawanke (31st) who decided the game for the Adler. John Gilmour (43rd) and Anthony Greco (57th) increased for the league leaders, who travel to the Kölner Haien in the top game on Sunday (4:30 p.m.). The Schwenninger Wild Wings slipped to ninth place in the DEL table and have to play against the Eisbären Berlin on Sunday (2 p.m.).
