Despite the return to the Bundesliga, Dejan Ljubicic will leave 1st FC Köln with his end of the contract. The 27 -year -old midfielder said goodbye to the fans on Wednesday. “I enjoyed every single second in the stadium to play among you. The atmosphere, the emotions, passion – all of this made this club special for me. It was a privilege to have gone this way with you,” he wrote on Instagram. His future should be at Dinamo Zagreb.

In 2021, Ljubicic came free from SK Rapid Vienna to the Cologneers, for which he played a total of 122 games and contributed 16 goals and eight templates. His market value had fallen heavily after the Bundesliga descent last year and continued to decrease in the lower house during the bumpy efforts of FC in the course of the season.
