The legendary rock band Deep Purple will perform concerts in Espoo and Tampere next year.

The English rock band Deep Purple will arrive in Finland next year.

The band will give concerts in Espoo and Tampere in June. The Espoo Metro-arena concert is on Thursday, June 11, the Tampere Nokia-arena concert is on Friday, June 12.

Tickets for the concerts go on sale on Monday, December 1st, advance sales start on Friday, November 28th.

The band, which has been active for almost 60 years, is considered one of the pioneers of heavy metal and hard rock, and its albums have sold more than 150 million copies worldwide. The band’s songs include, among others Smoke on the Water, Child In Time and Perfect Strangers.

Founded in 1968, Deep Purple is now made up of the singer Ian Gillan80, guitarist Simon McBride46, drummer Ian Paice77, bassist Roger Glover79, and keyboard player Don Airey77.

Over the years, Deep Purple has performed several times in Finland. The summer 2022 performance at the Pietarsaari Open Air event had to be canceled at the last minute, because the Performance Stage was not safe. The next day, the band took the stage at the Kerava Rock in the City festival.
