There was little talk of a sharp debate between Jean-Marie Dedecker and Georges-Louis Bouchez in Diksmuide. The two politicians appeared to agree well on various issues, although there was some striking news from the MR chairman. Bouchez is considering going to the next elections with a Flemish operation and Flemish lists.
“Today we have 2,000 people in Flanders who are members of the MR. We will analyze the situation in 2028, but if nothing changes, it is certain that we will submit lists,” says Georges-Louis Bouchez.
A collaboration with Dedecker does not seem to be one of them. The mayor of Middelkerke confirmed that Bouchez had already contacted him. “He has already asked me once. I said: Georges-Louis, you cannot pay me,” says Jean-Marie Dedecker.
