FIBA has decided to postpone the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup Asian Qualifiers Group C and D matches, which were planned to be played on Monday, March 2, due to the developments in the region.
The postponed matches are as follows:
Group C:
Iran – Syria
Iraq – Jordan
Group D:
Lebanon – India
Qatar – Saudi Arabia
It was reported that FIBA is in close contact with the relevant national federations and has taken the necessary measures for the safety of the teams, officials and personnel who will take part in the matches. It was announced that Group C and D matches will be held in the same halls at the beginning of the third qualifying window at the end of June, and the updated match schedule will be announced later.
