The first reports of the person in the water came to the control room around 9:45 p.m. Emergency services, including a trauma helicopter, then moved to Havenweg. Two fire brigade diving teams entered the water and recovered the person’s body from the water about an hour later.
It is not yet clear what exactly happened, a spokesperson for the Royal Military Police (KMar) said. The victim’s identity is not yet known. The KMar is investigating the incident, because it happened close to the naval grounds.
