Around 1:30 p.m., a report came in of a person in the water in Aalsmeer. Emergency services, including an air ambulance, arrived en masse. But that help came too late: according to a police spokesperson, the person was deceased.
The cause of death is not yet clear at this time. It is also unknown whether it is a man or a woman.
