Debutant Chelsea Sodaro immediately fastest at Ironman World Cup: ‘I am the first mother to win’

Chelsea Sodaro has won the Ironman world title on her debut in Hawaii. The 33-year-old American triathlete was the first in 15 years to succeed on her first attempt. After 3.86 kilometers of swimming, 180.2 kilometers of cycling and 42.195 kilometers of running, Sodaro finished in Hawaii in 8 hours, 33 minutes and 46 seconds.
