Telstar had many chances against ADO Den Haag, but the team from Velsen-Zuid was unable to score. Opponent ADO Den Haag did not do that either. Thanks to excellent goalkeeping by Joey Houweling. The 22-year-old closing post was regularly in the right place and managed to defuse several attacks from The Hague.

Trainer Mike Snoei was disappointed with the seventh draw this season, because his team earned more. He was very pleased with Houweling’s performance. “Error-free shot.”

This summer Houweling made the move from FC Utrecht to Telstar. When he came to the IJmond, the goalie knew that he had to settle for a role behind first goalkeeper Ronald Koeman Jr. “The trainer was pretty clear from the first week.”

Koeman Jr’s injury. seems to be not too bad and it is expected that he will return to the base next Friday. And that Houweling has to sit on the couch again. Telstar then takes on FC Eindhoven as number eleven in that round.
