Actress Debbie Reynolds is remembered not only for her remarkable career in Hollywood but also for her private life, which was rocked by one scandal after another.

Reynolds’ most famous works include the lead role in the film Singing raindrops and a role in the television series Will and Grace.

At the height of his popularity, however, Reynolds’ private life was in the headlines due to both the cheating scandal and the publication of the scandalous book.

Reynolds’ second marriage was to a businessman Harry Karlin with. The actor’s private life made headlines again when Reynolds filed for divorce from Karl in 1973. According to Reynolds, Karl had squandered the actor’s money on gambling.

Reynolds got into debt, and paid off the three million dollar debt by performing in nightclubs in Las Vegas and Reno.

When Carrie Fisher published the novel Postcards from the Edge in 1987, the relationship between Reynolds and Fisher was discussed in the public. The novel told the story of a stormy relationship between an entertainment mother and her actress daughter and was believed to be based on the real-life relationship between Fisher and Reynolds.

Fisher died in 2016 after suffering a heart attack on a plane. He was 60 years old when he died.

The next day, Reynolds was rushed to the hospital after having an unexpected seizure. Reynolds died on December 28, 2016 at the age of 84, just one day after her daughter’s passing.

Before the illness, Reynolds was visiting her son, where they were planning Fisher’s funeral.

Reynolds’ son has said that the late Fisher was in his mother’s speech just before her death.

– I miss her so much, I want to be with Carrie, Reynolds had said.
