Death Rebellin, the social message of his wife: “Give me strength and rest in peace”

Fanfan Antonini has been the runner’s partner since 2014: “Not being able to see and touch you for the last time because you left so horribly, it’s tearing me apart”

Another day of pain, of unanswered questions. His wife Fanfan, his mother Brigida, his brothers: the atrocious disappearance of Davide Rebellin is suffering for many, waiting for justice to be done. A very composed silence accompanies the investigations of the magistrates.

The last goodbye

Yet just today the runner’s partner, Fanfan Antonini, wanted to remember Rebellin with a post on Facebook, as intense as it is painful. The two were married in 2014, but had no children. Here is his letter: “My Angel, my great Love…Imagining my life without you is tearing me apart…the horror of what you have been through is tearing me apart…Carrying on knowing that we will never touch more, we will never speak again, we will never wake up in each other’s arms again it tears me apart… Don’t make the energy bars you liked so much it’s destroying me… Our beautiful plans as a couple, that were finally taking shape now that your demanding career was over, and that will never come to fruition, is tearing me apart…

Not being able to see and touch you for the last time because you’re gone so horribly, it’s tearing me apart… it’s knocking me down… I’m trying to catch my breath, but how can I breathe without you at my flank? I beg you, wrap me in your light, so beautiful, so sweet, so kind, so loving, so sunny… give me the strength to get up, and above all RIP IN PEACE, this peace you deserve so much. I will always keep you in my heart and in all of my being, for eternity.”
