An incomplete overview of the personalities from music, film, art, culture, sports and politics who died in January 2024.
The month began with the death of jazz legend Les McCann, who died at the age of 88 from complications of pneumonia. On January 4th, five actors left us: Harry Johnson, David Soul, Glynis Johns, Georgina Hall and Christian Oliver. The latter died in a plane crash in the Caribbean, which tragically also claimed the lives of his two daughters. And unfortunately we also had to say goodbye to football legend Franz Beckenbauer forever this month.
