One person has been killed in a serious traffic accident on the N9 near Bergen between a coach and a passenger car. The police say that it concerns a twenty-year-old from IJmuiden. Several other people were trapped in the bus. The N9 will remain closed for investigation until eleven o’clock tonight.
The accident happened around a quarter to five on the N9 near Koedijk. A bus with about forty people in it collided head-on with an oncoming passenger car. The driver of the passenger car died as a result.
Several people, including the driver of the coach, became trapped, the police spokesman told NH Nieuws. “It is not yet clear what the driver’s condition is, but he is approachable.”
It is not yet clear how the accident could have happened. The police have completely closed off the N9 and are investigating.
