Lisanne de Witte from Castricum won the 400 meters at the CAS Meeting International in Schifflange in Luxembourg. Jamile Samuel was also allowed to take the top step of the podium. The Amsterdammer won the 100 meters.

De Witte won the final of the 400 meters in a time of 53 seconds and 13 hundredths. This made the 29-year-old athlete only two hundredths slower than her best season (53.11) that she ran last week in Huizingen, Belgium.

The silver in Luxembourg went to the American Kendall Baisden (35.65) and the bronze to Mona Mayer (53.75) from Germany.

Best season time

In the 100 meters, the victory went to Jamile Samuel. The 30-year-old from Amsterdam was the first to cross the finish line in a time of 11 seconds and 32 hundredths. Germany’s Lisa Nippgen came in second at just one hundredth. Third was Kristal Awuah (11.43) from Great Britain.

In the series, Samuel ran her best season. She was four hundredths faster in the semi-final than in the final: 11.29.
