Antwerp mayor Bart De Wever (N-VA) continues to shudder at the proposal of alderman for Education and Youth Jinnih Beels (Vooruit) to legalize drug use. “The balance of legal drugs like alcohol and nicotine is already terrible. Adding new poison to that is immoral and naive. Where it has been tried, you see that organized crime is getting stronger,” said the N-VA chairman before the start of the security consultation.
