Home buyers are cautious now that mortgage rates are rising due to the war in the Middle East. Mortgage advisor De Hypotheker therefore sees that the average mortgage amount did not increase last quarter for the first time in three years. The number of applications also remained the same in the first quarter compared to the same period a year earlier.
