The battle is between De Graafschap, SC Cambuur and Almere City. De Graafschap has 19 points. Cambuur has 1 less and Almere has 16 points in the second period. De Graafschap plays at home against Roda JC on Friday, Cambuur plays at Willem II and Almere City at Jong PSV.
The visitors from Doetinchem took a 2-0 lead in the first ten minutes thanks to goals from Ibrahim El Kadiri and Bouke Boersma. Jesse van de Haar made it 1-2 in the first half. In the final phase, Arjan van der Heide beautifully shot De Graafschap’s third goal into the short left corner. Jong FC Utrecht scored with a header from Wessel Kooy.
