Dazn and Abb put the spotlight on the future of sports facilities with “Stadi 5.0”

Dazn Italia and Abb Electrification Italia launch the second season of “Stadi 5.0”, the format that tells how stadiums are evolving thanks to innovation, sustainability and new development models. Starting from Sunday, the new season will offer six on-demand episodes dedicated to the transformation of Italian and international sports facilities. Through expert analysis, real-world cases and studio discussions, Stadiums 5.0 will explore how stadiums are transforming into safer, more efficient and increasingly multifunctional hubs.

The story will be guided by the faces and talents of Dazn: Federica Zille, supported by Pierluigi Pardo, Dario Marcolin and Massimo Ambrosini, with the collaboration of the economic-financial journalist Marco Bellinazzo. Each episode will bring together representatives from the world of sport, institutions and technology such as Andrea Varnier, CEO of Milano Cortina, Giuseppe Marotta, president and CEO of Inter, and Paolo Scaroni, president of Milan, offering in-depth points of view on governance, financing models, planning and long-term sustainability. Abb Electrification experts will intervene to share the skills and best practices gained in national and international projects. The new season opens with a focus on the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympics and the Santa Giulia Arena, to continue with the New Balance Arena and the Atalanta model, then moving to the United States, to discover the stadiums that will host the 2026 Football World Cup. The fourth episode is dedicated to the future of the new San Siro stadium, while the fifth enters the world of Serie B, describing the projects of Empoli, Venice, Palermo and Frosinone, together with examples also virtuous in Serie C. The season ends with an in-depth analysis of the infrastructure plans of the stadiums of Fiorentina and Bologna.
