Dazn Group announced the agreement to acquire ViewLift, a leading provider of digital and streaming solutions for content owners, with an established presence in the US sports landscape. Dazn, a sports entertainment platform with over 140,000 live events a year and a presence in more than 200 markets, in the USA is the international partner of the main professional leagues, including NFL and NHL, while outside the United States it manages NFL Game Pass and NHL TV. ViewLift, for its part, collaborates with 15 professional teams in the United States, five regional sports networks (RSNs), international sports properties and large players in the field of information and of entertainment. Founded in 2008 in the United States, ViewLift provides end-to-end OTT and Direct-to-Consumer streaming solutions to NBA, NHL and MLB teams, as well as partners such as Liv Golf, Versant and Fox Sports (Latin America). The company enables rights holders to launch, manage and scale streaming platforms quickly and efficiently. Once the transaction is concluded, ViewLift (including the technology platform and sports portfolio) will operate as a business unit within Dazn, maintaining its leadership and executive team. The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions.

With this acquisition, Dazn strengthens its position in the US market by allowing the streaming platform to fit into a rapidly evolving distribution context, offering teams and leagues tools to reach fans immediately at a time of great transformation in the local sports rights model. The operation represents a key element of Dazn’s growth strategy in the United States, which includes collaboration with leagues and major sporting events, the development of the offer dedicated to boxing and the expansion of activities related to streaming and spectator engagement. Dazn and ViewLift are highly complementary: while Dazn offers a platform with global reach, a leader in the sports sector with a proven track record of collaboration with the main rights holders in the world, ViewLift brings consolidated relationships with US partners, a large portfolio of clients across leagues and teams, a deep knowledge of the local market and a team with a proven experience in providing services to rights holders. The integration will allow Dazn to evolve towards a flexible B2B2C and SaaS model, supporting leagues and clubs who wish to maintain their Direct-to-Consumer products, while benefiting from the platform’s global infrastructure and reach. Together, the two companies will offer a scalable solution for content distribution in a rapidly evolving market.
