The former English champion, who in his career also wore the Milan shirt during breaks from MLS with the Los Angeles Galaxy, today dedicates himself to gardening and outdoor living. And he does it with great enthusiasm. After rupturing his Achilles tendon in 2010, Beckham said he found a new balance in contact with nature. And so, in his home surrounded by the greenery of the Cotswolds, a rural region west of London, Beckham enjoys the fruits of his labor with his wife Victoria.

In the video published on Instagram, David Beckham brandishes, smiling and proud, the harvest of the day: a hypertrophic bunch of red onions. Among the rows of broad beans and other vegetable plants, all perfectly ordered, the former footballer waters, prunes and jokes with his wife, who cheers him up with amusement. “I love broad beans,” she says, after he bites into one. It is a moment of perfect family quiet, but not a passing whim. Beckham’s passion for growing was born during the pandemicas he himself had said: “When only one person per family could go out shopping I said to Victoria ‘why don’t we grow everything here. We could also get some chickens'”, he said. “I felt so lucky to have all this space available.”

Love for beekeeping

Gardening isn’t the former Manchester United and Real Madrid player’s only hobby. During the lockdown period, Beckham had started to also dedicate yourself to beekeepingpersonally building the hives in the garden of his country residence. In a video published by Victoria at that time, the stylist filmed him working with a hammer and wooden planks: “David has decided to start building beehives.
