Dave Grohl covers “Summer Breeze” with Beck, Tenacious D and John C. Reilly

Since the death of his friend and bandmate Taylor Hawkins, Foo Fighters boss Dave Grohl has largely withdrawn from the public eye. But he was obviously not idle: for September he and his band and Hawkins’ family put together two all-star tribute concerts, the line-ups of which even the biggest festivals in the world are likely to be amazed at.

Nevertheless, Grohl had one big performance: At the Glastonbury Festival he performed together with Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen. Now he has appeared again on a small stage. On August 16, he made a surprise appearance at the Largo Theater in Los Angeles. He covered the yacht rock song “Summer Breeze” alongside Beck, who was the only one of those musicians to be officially announced, Tenacious D, John C. Reilly and producer Greg Kurstin. The show was part of a series of benefit shows organized by director and producer Judd Apatow.
