Data breach at holiday park group EuroParcs, size still unknown | Internet

EuroParcs has found a data breach in the secure digital environment of the holiday park group. The Dutch company, which is also active in Belgium, is investigating the size. It is not yet known which data has been leaked.

EuroParcs warns that there may be an increased risk of misuse of personal data, for example via spam and phishing messages. “We ask EuroParcs contacts to be extra alert to this in the near future,” the company says.

The leak was found quickly and the affected part of the IT system was immediately taken offline. The system was then restarted using a secure backup.

EuroParcs focuses, among other things, on the sale of holiday homes to private individuals and business investors. The company also rents homes and has holiday parks in various European countries. In Belgium, EuroParcs has holiday parks in Mol and Zutendaal.
