The Englishwoman Beau Greaves was the first woman to throw a so-called nine-darter in a PDC ProTour event and thus made darts history. The 22-year-old achieved the perfect leg, in which a professional plays the 501 points with the minimum number of nine throws to zero, in the second round duel with the Austrian Mensur Suljovic (6:5) in Leicester.
“I couldn’t believe I threw it,” the three-time women’s world champion said afterwards. After the decisive throw, she “couldn’t stop smiling.” She couldn’t wait to tell her father about it. He must have been watching, she said.

According to her own statements, Greaves, who is starting on the ProTour for the first time this year as a tour ticket holder, had previously narrowly missed a nine-darter several times. “It was nice to finally throw one. It’s great to be the first woman with a nine-darter on the PDC ProTour and I’m glad it was also shown on the live stream.”
Afterwards she had problems finding her rhythm again. Nevertheless, she won against Suljovic before losing 3:6 to David Sharp. In the first round she had already defeated Chris Landman 6:5. “You play against the best players in the world. If you lose, your opponent was simply better that day,” said Greaves, summarizing the tournament.
