A severe mask, a veil of sadness, few smiles, zero laughter and a seriousness in the gym that made him become the most successful men’s coach in Italy. Daniele Bagnoli marked an era, twenty years of success in men’s volleyball divided between Treviso and Modena, he molded players and inspired coaches. And behind the mask, and the inevitable cigarette, a man with great passions, with an angular character, with contradictory choices, with an only apparently calm irony. At 71 years old he passed away and social media, which he never frequented much, were filled with memories and thanks.
