Daniel Tschofenig is at home on the world’s ski jumps. His girlfriend also knows her way around there very well.
Things aren’t going as well for Daniel Tschofenig in terms of sport this season as they did last year: after winning the Four Hills Tournament and the overall World Cup in 2024/25, he is currently only in fifth place in the World Cup. He was also disqualified from the Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina because of shoes that were four millimeters too big. In his private life, however, he has found happiness.
His girlfriend is no stranger – on the contrary. Alexandria Loutitt knows the world’s ski jumps just as well as her partner. The 22-year-old Canadian ski jumper became world champion on the large hill in 2023 and won bronze with the mixed team at the 2022 Olympics.
But the couple has a long-distance relationship: While Tschofenig lives in Innsbruck, Loutitt spends most of her time in Slovenia. Alex Loutitt supports her boyfriend’s career. After her competition, she traveled to Bischofshofen in January for the final competition of the Four Hills Tournament, where she saw her partner triumph.
This also pleased Tschofenig, who explained on the Austrian radio show “Breakfast with Me”: “That meant a lot to me.” When the couple doesn’t see each other, they communicate in other ways. “Facetime is very popular with us,” said the 23-year-old ski jumping star.
However, Tschofenig doesn’t want to think about getting married yet: “Let’s see what the future brings. I’m still young and don’t want to manifest anything.” In an interview with the Austrian “Kurier” a few years ago, Tschofenig also said that he and Loutitt regularly exchange ideas and give each other tips. The Carinthian also emphasized: “We don’t just talk about ski jumping all day long.”
The couple also often shares snapshots together on Instagram – whether in the outdoor pool or in front of the Christmas tree.
However, Loutitt missed the 2026 Winter Olympics. In September she fell badly at the Summer Grand Prix in Val di Fiemme and tore her cruciate ligament.
