Anyone who closely observed Daniel Thioune when he was employed in Bremen might have noticed fuller hair. Now the trainer is talking about his intervention.
After the exhausting season in the relegation battle of the Bundesliga, Werder Bremen’s coach Daniel Thioune spoke about having surgery on his hair. He had this done before he began his involvement with the North Germans.
“I’m making no secret of it: I used the time after my release in Düsseldorf to make my hair look a little fuller,” the 51-year-old told “Bild”. “But for me it has nothing to do with vanity. My hair has always been important to me and I liked to dye it when I was a professional.”
“Feels much better”
When asked about vanity, he replied that he wanted to feel comfortable in his own skin. “It feels much better to be out and about with ten kilos less. I would rather look like my players and not like the ball,” he said about his hobby of jogging. “Still, I wouldn’t say that I’m totally vain and define myself by my appearance.”
Hair transplants are common in the football business; successful coach Jürgen Klopp and football world champion Benedikt Höwedes, among others, have had their hair beautified.
