McLaren F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo assures that he will continue in the British team next season as well. The Australian driver, who is driving through Alaruei, published a message on social media in which he takes a stand on the rumors about his firing that have become wild recently.
Ricciardo has not stayed with his teammate this season by Lando Norris at speed. The weak grips have given birth to rumors in the pits, according to which Ricciardo could leave McLaren in the middle of the contract already at the end of this season. Ricciardo also has a contract with McLaren for the 2023 season.
On Wednesday, Ricciardo published an update on social media in which he confirms that the rumors are complete nonsense.
– There have been many rumors about the future of my F1 career, but I want you to hear it from me. I am committed to continue with McLaren next season as well, and I am not leaving the series anywhere, Ricciardo begins.
Ricciardo, who returned to the British team’s winning ways last season after a nine-year hiatus, admits that his season was difficult.
– We are working hard with the team to get the car back to the front, where it belongs. I still want this more than ever. See you at Le Castellet, Ricciardo sends his regards referring to the venue of the next race.
The other side of the rumor mill
In Ricciardo’s message, the man with eight GP wins assures that he himself is committed to continuing with McLaren.
Whether McLaren is committed to him is another matter.
