He was loaned out to Hamburg this season, but recently expressed dissatisfaction with his situation. Now Daniel Peretz has probably found a new club.

Goalkeeper Daniel Peretz is heading abroad. According to information from “Bild”, the 25-year-old, who is currently on loan from FC Bayern to Hamburger SV, is joining English second division club FC Southampton with immediate effect. The club is loaning the Israeli until summer 2026.

Peretz moved from Maccabi Tel Aviv to Munich in the summer of 2023 and was loaned to the Bundesliga returnees HSV in the summer of 2025. However, he wasn’t between the posts there in the league. He was only used in two cup games this season. Probably not enough for Peretz, who really wants to play.

At the beginning of December, the keeper expressed dissatisfaction with his role at HSV: “I expected to be number one. That hasn’t been the case so far. Of course I’m not happy about it,” Peretz told “Sport Bild”. Southampton is currently playing in the Championship, the second highest English league, and is in 13th place after 24 match days.
