A personal selection from almost 25 albums: that is the compilation album Collector by Daniel Lohues. It contains 24 songs from the almost 25 albums that the musician from Erica has made so far, including well-known titles such as On bicycles, Beautiful beautiful day and I’m getting out of here.

The selection will be released both digitally and on a double LP; some of the material is available on vinyl for the first time. At the same time as the album, Lohues introduces a songbook of the same name with the sheet music of all selected songs.

According to the singer-songwriter, the idea came about after persistent requests from the audience. “In recent years I have regularly been asked whether my songs are also written down in notes. That is how the idea for this songbook came about. A double LP has also been made with the same songs.”

Compiling Collector also offered Lohues space to look back on his work: “The great thing about looking back is that it makes you look ahead differently. I am currently back in the studio recording a new album that will be released next year.”

In addition to the album release, Lohues announces his first own performance in the Royal Theater Carré in Amsterdam. That is on Friday, May 15. The performance is part of his new theater tour, in which he will travel to Dutch theaters from March, accompanied by Bernard Gepken and Reyer Zwart.
