Daniel Farke waves job in England

Immediately after leaving Borussia Mönchengladbach, Daniel Farke beckons a new job. The ex-Gladbach coach could be drawn back to England.

As the newspaper “Yorkshire Post” and the portal “Leeds-Live” unanimously report, Farke is a coach candidate at Leeds United.

The traditional club has to start the bitter transition to the second-class championship. The Peacocks and team manager Sam Allardyce parted ways “by mutual consent” after failing to stay up.

Farke is set to lead Leeds to direct promotion back to the Premier League. At Norwich City, he already proved that the 46-year-old can be exactly the right man for this. With the Canaries, Farke rose to the English House of Lords in 2019 and 2021.

In addition to Farke, Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is said to be a candidate for coaching at Leeds United.

At the beginning of June, Borussia Mönchengladbach confirmed that they were parting ways with Daniel Farke after a disappointing season. “Borussia and Daniel Farke are ending their collaboration. A joint, detailed analysis of the season has brought both parties to this decision,” said a statement published by the foals.

Seoane inherits Farke near Gladbach

The foals under Farke had to bury their European ambitions early on. In the end, it was only enough for tenth place in the final table for the highly valued squad.

There should also have been internal disputes over and over again. There was talk of “great dissatisfaction” around the club. This discord could also be heard regularly in the stands week after week. Again and again the supporters acknowledged the performance of the team with whistles.

Gladbach presented Gerardo Seoane as his successor. The 44-year-old was employed by Bundesliga competitor Bayer Leverkusen between July 2021 and October 2022, and he received a three-year contract on the Lower Rhine.
