Daniel Derler, head of the traditional costume brand Pleamle from Villach in Austria, takes over the brands Weber + Weber and Josef & Anna, which had to file for bankruptcy in May. For this, Derler founded the new company Cool Tailoring GmbH. This is reported by the Austrian textile newspaper.
The restart of the two brands should take place in November. Then they want to present the autumn/winter collections 2024/25. There will be no summer collection for 2024. Christian Weber, who founded the two brands, is also on board. He will remain design chief. As before, the online shop will be operated by the Hamburg fashion house Braun.
The men’s brand Weber + Weber was founded in 2015 by Christian and Manuel Weber and has been based in Vienna since 2020. Weber+Weber does not have its own stores and is available from more than 160 specialist retail partners in Central Europe. These include Lodenfrey in Munich and Braun in Hamburg.
