Manufacturer Recalls “Nicer Dicer” Set from Lidl
Update from July 8: Genius GmbH is recalling its kitchen device “Nicer Dicer smart” in the 16-piece set due to a manufacturing defect.
According to the company, deviations were found in the affected production batch that could lead to excessive tolerances at the hinge. This poses a risk of plastic parts being scraped off and potentially ingested with food. The product was sold nationwide through Lidl stores and online.

Bacterial Contamination in Mineral Water
Update from July 6: The producer of “Raffelberger Medium” and “Raffelberger Klassik” mineral waters has recalled glass water bottles with certain expiration dates after routine checks revealed bacterial contamination by Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
What is Pseudomonas aeruginosa?
- Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a bacterium that is a common cause of hospital infections. According to the manufacturer, healthy consumers have a very low risk of illness. However, individuals with weakened immune systems are particularly at risk.
The contamination could lead to health complications. Therefore, consumption is not advised. The affected water was sold in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate.

“After consuming the mineral water, the risk of illness for healthy consumers is considered very low,” stated the company. The technical defect that caused the issue has been resolved. All batches produced after the mentioned expiration dates are safe and secure.

Small metal pieces were found in the affected batch, posing a risk of health issues or injuries. The product was primarily sold in Netto markets and a vending machine in Splietsdorf, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
