Jamf Threat Labs, the information security department of the software company Jamf, warns in its announcement about the threat to Apple’s IOS and MacOS operating systems.
It says it has discovered a new vulnerability that allows attackers to access, among other things, the user’s photos, files, location data and contact information. In addition, files stored in iCloud can be copied or transferred without warnings from Apple’s transparency, consent and control system.
Jamf has reported its findings to Apple, which in turn has located the vulnerability in the IOS 18 and MacOS 15 systems. It encourages everyone to update their devices to the latest possible operating systems now at the latest.
