THEThe mystery hovered for two weeks: Guillermo Mariotto will still be part of the cast of Dancing with the Stars 2024? After a long, very long wait, peppered with clues, misdirections and rumors, the answer came during the semi-final on Saturday 14 December on Rai 1. In the end, the judge returned to sit behind the counter, but first apologized to the public and to Milly Carlucci.

Carlucci explained: «There was a lot of talk, many hypotheses. Whatever the justification, it is certainly not a negligible act. It is a serious act because this is a Rai television studio and it cannot be abandoned like this without warning no one and without a plausible and important explanation.”
Then he continued: «We spoke with Guillermo, who told us that he was in a moment of particular emotional difficulty. It happens. He has been with us for 19 years and the common choice was a yellow card. Definitely an acknowledgment of a wrong action, but it’s not the end, it’s not an expulsion». Soon after, he showed a video of the stylist. «Unfortunately I had to leave, much to my regretbut I felt bad,” he declared.
So, the apologies arrived: «I have to apologize in every possible way because I disrespected you, Milly first and foremost, Rai, everyone. I am sorry”. He then entered the study with a bundle of red roses for the landlady, who concluded: «I accept your flowers, the public understood the difficult momentbut look me in the eyes. Now we sit there and we are very, very serious. They were all waiting for youthey wanted your return. We are happy about this, Guillermo Mariotto is with us in his best guise».

The Guillermo Mariotto mystery: what happened
All’s well that ends well, but the story immediately took on a rather serious tone. In the episode of Saturday 30 November, after Amanda Lear’s performance, Mariotto left the firm. Milly Carlucci had tried to give a justification to the public: «I have to point out something to you. There is no Guillermo Mariotto, who got up and walked away from the theater. We were unable to recover it. Maybe he felt unwell, but we couldn’t understand what happened».
While the presenter tried to explain, however, Mariotto was backstage with Amanda Lear and her dancers. Shortly after, news had arrived that the designer had left the Foro Italico studio, effectively abandoning the program. A sui generis decision, which reverberated on social media and forced the production and Rai to make a decision: send him away or reopen the doors of the show to him?
