The White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington was interrupted when gunshots rang out in the ballroom of the Hilton Hotel. President Donald Trump and his entourage were evacuated immediately after this, and one suspect was arrested at the scene.
Friend of Trump Dana White was on site at the event. After the shooting incident, the UFC boss told USA Today what really happened in the gym.
– There was a noise. Then tables were knocked over, guys ran in with guns. They told me to go down, but I didn’t. It was pretty damn awesome. I enjoyed every moment, literally. It was crazy, a unique experience, White said.
He was sitting right in front of the president at the time of the incident, and armed men quickly entered the hall to look for the shooter.
– They came to our table. I thought the shooter was close to us, White continued.
