An explosion damaged a Purmerend restaurant and terrace last night. The police report this. The explosion happened around 5:15 am this morning in front of a catering facility on the Koemarkt.
It is not yet clear what caused the explosion. The police are still investigating what exactly happened.
The police are asking witnesses or people with camera images to come forward.
