A cyclist was seriously injured this afternoon in a collision through a car on the Slochterweg in Rural Noord. A police spokesman confirms this.
The accident happened around 3:30 pm at a intersection of the N-road. Photos show that the victim was driving on an electric bicycle and that it must have been a big blow. There are various bicycle parts on the street.
Multiple ambulances and a trauma helicopter arrived on site to provide assistance. The victim was rushed to the hospital.
How the accident could happen is still unclear. The police have launched an investigation.
