Italian cyclist Jacopo Venzo has died at the age of 17. His stablemate Campana Imbalaggi Geo told about it&Tex Trentino in its announcement.
Venzo died from injuries sustained in a fall during a cycling race. The accident happened during the first stage of the Junioren Rundfahrt in Austria.
Venzo was rushed by helicopter to a local hospital, where he died. The race was stopped due to an accident.
– Jacopo was an exceptional boy whose future was bright in sports and above all in life. This is why this hurts even more. We ask that you respect the family’s privacy and thank everyone who gave their support. Thank you Jacopo for the good times. You have no idea how much we will miss you, the team wrote in its announcement.
