A group of cyclists from Belgium collided on Sunday morning with a car at the Heikant and Oirschotseweg intersection in Moergestel. One of the cyclists ended up with a hard blow to the windshield of the car. The victim was taken to the hospital with an ambulance.
The accident happened at the end of the morning when the cyclists wanted to cross the Oirschotseweg. Bystanders and teammates immediately called in the emergency services. The police and ambulance were quickly on site.
The Oirschotseweg in Moergestel is extra pressure on Saturday and Sunday due to the closing of the A58 motorway.
