A 57-year-old cyclist was killed on Friday in a collision on the Fianestraat in Bergen op Zoom. The police made the announcement on Saturday morning. The motorist who hit the woman is a 77-year-old man from Bergen op Zoom. The driver of a DHL bus, who witnessed this, is wanted.
Things went wrong when the 77-year-old man drove away from a parking lot near a farm shop around a quarter to twelve in the afternoon. He hit two cyclists, a woman and a man from Steenbergen, for unknown reasons.

The man suffered minor injuries, but the woman fell hard and her condition was serious. An air ambulance was called for her. She eventually died in the ambulance that was to take her to the hospital.
