The Russian cyclist Aleksandr Vlasov is allowed to continue racing because he rides for the Bora-hansgrohe team

National teams and racing teams from Russia and Belarus are suspended from international cycling races, the world association UCI decided, reacting to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

However, riders from both countries are still allowed to compete for international cycling teams, but not under the Russian or Belarusian flag. This means that, for example, the Russian tour specialist Aleksandr Vlasov can continue to be used by the German Bora-hansgrohe team.

Competitions in Russia and Belarus will no longer be held for the time being, and applications for future UCI events will no longer be pursued.
