The German professional bike racing stable Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe and his sporting director Rolf Aldag go separate paths.
As the team of the tour third Florian Lipowitz announced on Tuesday (29.07.2025), two days after the end of the 112nd Tour de France, both parties agreed with the end of the cooperation at the end of this month.
“Rolf took responsibility in a phase of upheaval and brought our team athletically and structurally. We are deeply grateful for this commitment”said team boss Ralph Denk, “He left lasting traces – both in the sporting area and on a human level.” For the next chapter in the team history, however, they decided together “To put new impulses and take a different direction”.
Successful time
Aldag joined the team in 2022 and, among other things, in the overall victory at Giro d’Italia 2022 by Jai Hindley and the triumph at the Vuelta in Spain in 2024 by Primoz Roglic. Aldag was also in use at the tour 2025 tour 2025, which Lipowitz finished third on the podium and the best young professional in the white jersey.
Aldag: “I’m proud”
The 56-year-old Aldag, employed by the Telekom Team until 2005, spoke of a personally and sporty time: “Together we mastered the difficult change from the Sprinter -Team and celebrated great success – always with a clear goal in mind. I am proud of what we have achieved as a team.” Now the moment has come to break new ground.
