The two-time Tour de France winner Jonas Vingegaard has reached the next stage in preparation for this year’s France tour and visited several climbs this week that could be very important in the fight for the tour victory.
The Visma driver initially climbed both the Col du Soulor and Hautacam. Both climbs are part of the 12th stage this year. Then Vingegaard also climbed the Col de Peyresourde, which is driven as part of the 14th section. Sports director Grischa Niermann posted videos from the excursions of his top driver on Instagram.

Nice change for Vingegaard: At the Soulor he received a visit from a group of three ambitious young drivers who also paint training kilometers. Niermann drove past the group, stopped and told them that Vingegaard was only two minutes ahead. The trio then accelerated and caught up with the Danes.
